It has been brought to my attention that many folks may not know what the CRD is. Well, this is no surprise, honestly. The CRD is an antiquated Database from a time long before we were the MES. It was once used to house a wealth (as it was) of information for players and members. It was also buggy as all get out and a pain in the booty. (I see several heads nodding in silent agreement)
We now have a much better technology department with much better tools at our disposal… but we still have the CRD linked to some key elements that help us to keep track of members, and their offices, and standards (don’t know what a standard is? Look for another email on that soon).
Think of the CRD as that ancient database in your workplace office that no one likes to admit is still there, but everyone has to use because it still has a bunch of info on it.
Is it ideal? Nope. Are we a volunteer not-for-profit that has to make do with the tech we have? You betcha.
So for established members and new – please take a moment to jump into the CRD and make certain your information is current.
You can access the CRD from the membership portal:
Select > Legacy Tools >> CRD
Updated info in the CRD helps on many levels.
